Biography

My kindergarten teacher once described me as "unique." At the time I was confused and didn't know how to take it. As I have grown up and coming close to beginning the next chapter in my life, I realize this is actually a compliment. Sometimes I see the world differently from the rest. I love a good debate and usually stand up for the underdog (something I get honestly from my mother).

Born and raised in Decatur, Ala., I attended Austin High School and graduated in 2005 with an Honors Diploma. Those days were filled with sports, church activities, leadership roles and lots of time with family friends.

The University of North Alabama is where I resided my first two years of college. It was a smaller college setting and was an easy transition for me. I transferred to Auburn University in 2007 and recently graduated in August 2009. I have a Bachelor of Art in public relations with a minor in Spanish.

I love organizing events, meeting different people, being involved with new ideas and quiet time when my artistic side comes to light. Life is good !
